How Polaris Improved Compliance at Stoner-Thomas School

Stoner-Thomas special education teachers participated in district-wide training on how to write standards-based IEPs for their unique learners. Even after specific training was provided by local experts within the district, the teachers were writing inconsistent goals. These goals were not based on student data or aligned to state learning standards. In addition, many of the goals were not written with observable and measurable criteria, making data collection impossible.
