<p>Deanna Kay Rice is a passionate professor who works to inspire future educators to create safe and brave spaces for pupils to learn. She has over 20 years of experience in special education as a middle school teacher, teacher educator, mentor, and conference and professional development presenter. She earned her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from Louisiana State University and is currently an assistant professor at the University of Central Arkansas.</p> <p>Joniya J. Flowers is a senior at the University of Central Arkansas. She is majoring in Psychology with a minor in Special Education. Joniya’s future plans include continuing her education through pursuing her doctorate in occupational therapy, with a focus in OT Entrepreneurship. </p>
