Fall Urban Collaborative

The Urban Collaborative is a national network of 105 school districts whose leaders are committed to increasing effective and inclusive special education services. They are focused on decreasing the disproportionality of culturally and linguistically diverse student populations in classification rates, separate educational environments, and disciplinary actions. Members of the Urban Collective professional learning community learn from and support each other to achieve these goals.

Closing the Gap

New York City’s Department of Education’s Assistive Technology Expo

This expo is the largest professional learning event dedicated to assistive technology, brought to you by New York City’s Department of Education’s Department of Teaching and Learning / Special Education Office. The event includes 50+ live, in-person sessions from assistive technology specialists, professionals, and actual users of assistive technology. Learning sessions will cover a wide variety of topics, including Assistive Technology 101, Modeling AAC, Switch Access, Supports for Students with Dyslexia, and many more. Opportunities to explore, experiment, and play with various assistive technology equipment will be available at the Vendor Hall.
