Meet California’s Science of Reading requirements!

Senate Bill 488 (Rubio, D-Baldwin Park), signed in 2021, requires that accredited teacher preparation programs meet higher standards with respect to preparing teachers in evidence-based reading instruction, particularly foundational reading skills. Proficiency in the science of teaching reading has become an indispensable requirement.

n2y is the only provider of a Science-of-Reading-aligned curriculum specifically designed for students with moderate to severe disabilities across all grade levels. This curriculum includes Science of Reading courses that explicitly and systematically teach the foundations of reading.
