The priceless gift of literature
Has a friend ever given you a book and said, “You HAVE to read this?” Sharing the feeling of being completely immersed in a spellbinding story is one of the greatest gifts we can give to one another. Yet too often that gift has remained out of reach for students with unique learning needs…until now!
Meet key ELA standards with Inspire Classics
Teach 12 of the world’s greatest novels and plays with Inspire Classics, an add-on for Unique Learning System that provides the higher‑level reading opportunities educators have been asking for. Your unique learners in middle and high school can experience the joy of timeless stories and literary works, and you’ll have the support you need to ensure they meet literature standards.
Promote access and inclusion
Elevate your students’ confidence and pride by providing equitable access to the world‑class texts their peers in general education are reading. Inspire Classics are available in two different versions—adapted text or symbol supported. The adapted-text version keeps the essence and integrity of the original while the symbol‑supported version uses SymbolStix—the world’s most dependable communication tools—to introduce an eager new audience to the world’s greatest literature.
Ensure students get the most out of every text with full lesson plans, interactive vocabulary activities, end‑of‑chapter comprehension questions, and end‑of‑book activities—all differentiated to four levels. Levels 1–3 are based on extended standards while Level 4 is based on general education standards.
Boost student performance
Engage students in developing critical reading skills—such as inferencing, main idea, author’s purpose, vocabulary, and analyzing texts. Teachers can easily connect with them wherever they learn using included communication boards. And Student Daily Performance data helps ensure students are also meeting their standards-based IEP goals.
